Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 July 2026
These terms cover your use of the Halo Discord bot ("Halo", "the bot", "the service"). By adding Halo to a server or using its commands, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the bot.
Contents
1. Eligibility
To use Halo you must meet Discord's own minimum age for your country (at least 13, or older where local law requires) and comply with the Discord Terms of Service. Halo's minigames are for entertainment only - they stake in-bot "aura" that has no real-world value, take no real money, and pay out nothing that can be cashed out, so they are not real-money gambling. Server administrators who add Halo are responsible for using it in line with these terms and their own server's rules.
2. Entertainment only
Halo is a meme and entertainment bot. Its scores, tiers, rankings, minigames, and "aura readings" are for fun. They are not accurate measurements of anything, are not advice, and should not be relied on for any decision. The bot deliberately labels its own output as not fully accurate.
3. Aura and in-bot currency have no real-world value
- "Aura" is play-money. It exists only inside the bot, has no monetary or real-world value, and is not a currency, token, or financial instrument.
- No cash-out. Aura cannot be redeemed, exchanged, withdrawn, or converted into money, cryptocurrency, goods, or anything of real-world value.
- No purchase of aura. Aura cannot be bought. The gambling minigames stake aura only - no real money is ever wagered, won, or lost.
- Aura balances, streaks, ranks, and inventory may be adjusted, reset, or removed at any time (see section 6). You are not entitled to any balance or rank.
4. Acceptable use
When using Halo, you agree not to:
- abuse, automate, script, or exploit bugs to gain aura or manipulate rankings;
- use the bot to harass, defraud, or deceive other users;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the bot or the systems it runs on;
- use the bot in violation of Discord's terms, guidelines, or any applicable law.
We may restrict, reset, or block any user or server that breaks these rules, without notice.
5. Premium membership
- What it is. Halo premium is an optional paid membership that grants cosmetic and quality-of-life perks (for example a profile badge, a higher daily cap, larger drop-party grabs, and extra streak-freeze charges). Premium perks are convenience and cosmetics only - they never sell aura and do not create a pay-to-win advantage.
- Not yet on sale. Paid membership is not live at the time of writing. When it launches, billing will be handled through Discord's own purchasing and subscription system, and Discord's purchase terms and refund policy will apply to those transactions.
- Changes. The specific perks, pricing, and availability of premium may change over time. Perks have no cash value and are non-transferable.
- Cancellation. You can manage or cancel a subscription through Discord. Cancelling stops future billing; it does not retroactively refund past periods except as required by Discord's policy or applicable law.
6. Availability, data, and resets
Halo is provided on a best-effort basis by an independent operator. It may be offline, interrupted, changed, or discontinued at any time. We may reset scores, wipe stored state, rebalance the economy, or remove features without notice. For details on what the bot stores and how to have your data removed, see the Privacy Policy.
7. No warranty
Halo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or accuracy. You use the bot at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Halo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of aura, rankings, data, or server state, arising from your use of or inability to use the bot.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use Halo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to the bot operator at [CONTACT - e.g. support email or Discord handle].
